Contagious Memories
So I've noticed a lot today how contagious yawns are. I read in the newspaper a few months back that if someone yawns and then you follow that you tend to have more empathy for people around you. Don't know if it's true or not, just interesting. The article also said that children can develop this around the age of 2. So, I paid attention to my daughter to see if she yawned when someone else did first. Yes she does. So today it's been happening a lot. We will sing and she yawns in the middle, then I will yawn and she will yawn again. I tell her to stop yawning because I keep yawning. This happened the entire time I tried to put her down for bed. A good 15 minutes or so. Now the memories part of my title. One Sunday Sandy and I were sitting in the car while our Mom went to get the paper at my Grandma's. She yawned then I proceeded to yawn. We did this the entire way home- a good 7-8 minutes. I just found this funny that I am now doing this with my daughter.
